KOMPAK Governance for Growth

The Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) partners with Indonesian Government to implement the KOMPAK program. The KOMPAK program supports the Government of Indonesia (GoI) in policy development and implementation, institutional strengthening, and innovation and experimentation as part of the GoI’s 5-Year National Development Plan to improve basic services for the poor and vulnerable of Indonesia. KOMPAK supports implementation and village funding through Ministerial support to strengthen facilitation in community capacity building for transition to Village Law that strengthens the process of decentralization at village level.

From September 2015 to June 2016 RMI provided capacity building and institutional development support; including strategy development for capacity building monitoring strategies and implementation of a Training of Trainer (ToT) monitoring system to inform programming for training and capacity building in village law implementation.
