Simon has 15 yearsâ€™ experience as a Chartered Accountant in the private, Government and development sectors. He is an experienced Public Financial Management (PFM) and Procurement Specialist with an extensive background in designing and implementing systems across a broad range of areas including financial management, procurement, budget development, internal and external auditing, organisational system assessment and design, asset management, as well as capacity building of counterparts. He has worked on the ground with NGOâ€™s as well as advising directly to Government in Timor-Leste and Solomon Islands. Simon has worked on large programs for DFAT, the World Bank and Oxfam, focused on community driven development (CDD), decentralisation, governance, economic governance, and capacity building. He speaks English, Tetum, Bahasa Indonesian and some Pidgin. Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Australia, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
